Established in 1994, Ado Mining is the biggest company in Turkey offering barite in API/OCMA standards for oil and gas drilling industry. The plant has a 240.000 tpa grinding capacity and most of our output is drilling grade barite and for exports ( Ado Mining has a market share of %98 in Turkey’s barite exports). We have also barite productions for different applications.

Olivine sand is our another major product used mainly in iron & steel, refractory and foundry industry. Our annual production capacity is 40.000 tons per annum.

Ado Mining also headed towards making investments in electricity generation based on Hydroelectric Power Plants and every kind of renewable energy resources. Concordantly, the investment of Kozdere Hydroelectric Power Plant , a river type HEPP with an installed capacity of 9,46 MW, has been started.

The river type HEPP projects named Çayagzi, Alakir-1 and Alakir-2 with the installed capacities of 9,76 MW, 8,66 MW and 3,87 MW respectively , are aimed to be started as from 2010/2011. After completion of all HEPP investments, annual amount of electricity production will be total 140 millions KWH.

» Ado operates three mines. Especially, the one in Sarkikaraagac is very well known with its high quality barite.

» The approximate distance between mines and our plant is about 170-270 kms.

» Our product is being washed, crushed and jigged.

» The heavy metal content in our product is at a very low level
